Simi Valley is one of our steadiest routes — big garages, lots of two-story homes, and a summer that will cook you if you load at 2pm. Here's what a tote rental costs here, how many you'll need, and when to book.

What it costs

Flat packages, no per-box counting, and free delivery and pickup anywhere in Simi Valley.

  • Studio — $119, 5-day rental
  • 1 Bedroom — $149, 5-day rental
  • 2 Bedroom — $179, 1 week (our most popular)
  • 3 Bedroom — $229, 1 week
  • 4 Bedroom — $299, 1.5 weeks

A dolly comes with every package. Need more time? Extend by the day — $20/day for the first three days, then $12/day, up to 10 extra days. Details on the Simi Valley page and in pricing.

How many totes you'll actually need

From hundreds of local drops: a 1-bedroom runs about 20–25 totes, a 2-bedroom 30–40, a 3-bedroom 40–55, and a 4-bedroom 60–80. Simi homes tend to have full garages and deep closets, so if you're on the line between two sizes, go up — it's cheaper than a second trip. Our tote estimate guide breaks it down room by room.

When to book

Month-end and weekends fill first — that's when leases turn and escrows close. Two to three weeks of lead time is comfortable, more in summer. We can often squeeze in same-week, so call (805) 273-8732 and ask instead of guessing.

Simi Valley-specific things we've learned

  • Heat. Inland afternoons hit triple digits in July and August. Load before 11am. Our summer heat guide covers the rest.
  • Garages. Simi garages hold more than people expect. Start there first — see the garage packing guide.
  • Two-story homes. That's exactly why the dolly is included. Keep each tote at or under 65 lbs so the stairs stay safe.
  • Wind. Santa Ana days are no fun with cardboard flying around a driveway. Snap-lid totes don't move.

Why rent instead of buying cardboard

Buying boxes for a 3-bedroom easily passes $150 with tape and paper, and then you own a garage full of flattened cardboard. Totes arrive assembled, stack evenly in a truck, and we haul them away when you're done. Every rental keeps roughly 40 cardboard boxes out of the landfill. The local angle

We're a family-owned Ventura County business and we do the Simi runs ourselves. We also serve Thousand Oaks, Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Moorpark, and Santa Paula. Start with the moving checklist and pick your dates.
