Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your rental of moving totes, dollies, and related equipment from 805 Totes ("805 Totes," "we," "us," or "our"). By reserving or using our equipment, you agree to these Terms.

Rental period

Each reservation includes a 1-week rental beginning on your scheduled delivery day. Free delivery and pickup are included within our Ventura County service area.

Extensions and late fees

Need more time? Extensions are available at $59 per additional week if requested before your scheduled pickup. If totes are not ready for pickup at the end of your rental period and no extension has been arranged, a late fee equal to one additional week ($59) will apply for each week or partial week the equipment remains in your possession.

Customer responsibility

You are responsible for our equipment from delivery until pickup. Totes, lids, and dollies should be returned in the same condition they were delivered — clean, undamaged, and complete. Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment will be charged at replacement cost:

  • Tote (with lid): $35 each
  • Dolly: $85 each

Do not exceed the 65 lb weight limit per tote, do not stand on totes, and do not use totes to store hazardous materials, liquids that could damage the tote, or anything perishable. You agree that we may charge the payment method on file for any replacement fees, late fees, or extension fees under these Terms.

Delivery and pickup

We will confirm delivery and pickup windows in advance. Please make sure someone is available to receive the delivery, or provide clear instructions for a safe drop-off location. Reschedule requests made at least 48 hours before your scheduled delivery are free of charge.

SMS Terms

Program: 805 Totes Notifications.

By opting in through our reservation form, you agree to receive text messages from 805 Totes related to your reservation, delivery, and pickup. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP at any time to cancel messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hello@805totes.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include all major U.S. carriers. No mobile opt-in data or consent will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Limitation of liability

805 Totes is not responsible for damage to the contents of totes during your move, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from your rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.

Cancellations

You may cancel or reschedule your reservation at no charge up to 48 hours before your scheduled delivery. Contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
